Actor and writer Morwenna Banks will be among those supporting the fundraiser.
Twenty breast cancer patients will model clothes available in the Grand Arcade at a fashion show in aid of Addenbrooke’s Breast Cancer Appeal.
Held on the first floor of the Grand Arcade from 7pm on Tuesday October 17, tickets cost £15 including a welcome drink and goody bank.
It will be attended by actor and writer Morwenna Banks, who wrote the radio play Goodbye, starring Olivia Colman, after losing several close friends to breast cancer, and the screenplay for Miss You Already, starring Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette.
The show has been organised by breast cancer survivor Natalie Emuss and Rigby & Peller boutique manager Jennifer Mason.
Natalie said: “Last year we raised an incredible £10,465 for the Addenbrooke’s Breast Cancer Appeal which helped to fund a new piece of equipment. This year we hope to match that. I am so grateful to Rigby & Peller and The Grand Arcade for sponsoring our event for a second year. Thank you to the stores that have supplied clothing, make up, hair styling and raffle prizes.
“We have some particularly wonderful raffle prizes this year including a 24-hour Tesla test drive! All 20 models have had breast cancer and some are still undergoing treatment. This year’s show is in memory of our friend Isla Jordan, who sadly passed away in August this year.”
Jennifer added: “It was very inspiring to meet so many wonderful ladies and their families last year. My team and I are proud to be part of an event that raises both funds and awareness for Addenbrooke’s Breast Cancer Appeal.”
Tickets are on sale at Rigby & Peller in the Grand Arcade, Addenbrooke’s Breast Unit and the Addebrooke’s Charitable Trust office at the hospital.
