A weekend of events start on Friday, March 10.

Now in its thrid year, Disabled Access Day aims to encourage disabled people, their families and friends to choose new places to visit and to gain confidence in accessing unfamiliar venues that have piqued their curiosity.

Events this year take place on Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 March.

Disabled Access Day founder Paul Ralph said: ““We are really excited that Disabled Access Day is growing even stronger in its third year running. With events up and down the country and further afield, including events in Flanders and Iceland! We want organisations and venues who have good accessibility to continue and chat with disabled people, their friends and family, we see the weekend as a perfect opportunity to do so. We encourage disabled people and their friends to join that celebration by visiting a new place and trying something new!”
