Wintercomfort launch ‘Cup for Change’ campaign

Cambridge homeless charity Wintercomfort has launched a new awareness and fundraising campaign.

Called Cup for Change, the campaign aims to get friends, families and colleagues together for coffee and to ask people to donate to Wintercomfort. The money raised will help the charity’s work to support people move on from homelessness.

Simon Pickering, fundraiser at Wintercomfort, said: “This is a new campaign for us raising both awareness and funds to support our vitally important work enabling our service users to move on from homelessness. We have been amazed so far by the number of people and local companies hosting events, but there is always room for more people to get behind the campaign.”

The charity teamed up with Smokeworks restaurant on Station Road to host a coffee morning marking the launch of the new campaign, which also marked World Homeless Day, on October 10.

Wintercomfort has a day centre near Jesus Green.
