PM Theresa May was absent from the debate while Jeremy Corbyn made an 11th hour appearance.
Brexit protesters gathered outside Senate House in Cambridge yesterday evening where a General Election debate between party leaders and senior politicians took place.
Paul Browne, Chair of Cambridge Stays says: “The Brexit that Theresa May’s government seems determined to inflict on this country will bring us another decade of austerity, economic decline, fewer opportunities for our young people, international isolation and will make a global response to the environmental and political crises the world faces in the 21st century more difficult.
“Brexit has always been a duff idea, and with every passing week we see this more clearly. There is another way. We can, and we should, stop Brexit and remain a member of the EU.”
