Headteacher says it’s one of the school’s greatest achievements.
Students from Coleridge Community College danced their way to the Royal Albert Hall for the Music for Youth Festival.
The Coleridge Carnival Crew, which is made up of 39 drummers and dancers from Years 9 and 10, were one of 43 groups selected to perform from around 40,000 performers who applied.
Headteacher Mark Patterson said: “What an amazing performance. Our performance at the Music for Youth event in the Royal Albert Hall ranks as one of our greatest achievements as a school – unforgettable for our students and their parents, and our staff, too. I am so proud.”
The Coleridge Carnival started as a cross-curricular dance and music module in Year 8 but the students liked it so much that they requested an extra-curricular Carnival Club.
