Students at Impington International College are celebrating today (Thursday) following another year of excellent exam results. The A-level/BTEC cohort achieved 72 per cent A* to C and 97 per cent A* to E, the culmination of two years’ hard work.
Principal Ryan Kelsall said: “We are incredibly proud of our students’ successes, which are testament to their own dedication and the commitment and expertise of our staff.”
Impington’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme students also have cause for celebration this summer, achieving an average score of 34, and a pass rate of 96.1 per cent, well in excess of the international averages.
Eight Impington students scored 40 points or more. This includes Roella Smith and Lydia Ciaccio who both achieved the maximum 45 points, placing them among the very brightest students in the world.
IB Co-ordinator and assistant principal Jo Sale said “we are delighted for our IB students, who have excelled themselves this year. They have shown that with the support of our highly experienced and committed staff they can rise to the challenge of one of the world’s most academically rigorous and rewarding qualifications.”
