Royal Papworth Hospital has introduced its new name after receiving a royal title from the Queen.

It is the first royal hospital in the East of England, recognising its history and future plans to remain one of the world’s leading specialist hospitals when it moves to Cambridge this year.

CEO Stephen Posey said: “The royal title is a fitting tribute to the many talented, committed staff members who have made the hospital what it is today. Our new name is an extremely positive way in which to start the next chapter in our history as we commence our centenary celebrations and prepare to move into our new hospital.”

The hospital’s new logo is already in use on the Trust’s website and social media channels and will be implemented gradually on printed materials over the coming weeks and months.
