The Co-op shop in Willingham has been targeted by ram raiders for the second time this summer.

Police were called to the High Street store shortly after midnight on Monday (August 27).

The front of the shop was badly damaged in the incident as the offenders attempted to remove items from the store.

The store was also targeted on July 3 this year.

A Co-op spokesperson said: “There was an incident in our Willingham store in the early hours of this morning when intruders entered the store. Police are investigating, and we appeal for anyone with information to come forward. The store has now reopened to serve the community.”

No one has been arrested.
