The Prediction Machine is giving a glance into the future - for a limited time only!
If you want to know the future of climate change then head to Cambridge Central Library.
Labour Euro MP Alex Mayer unveiled a ‘prediction machine’ which makes climate change predictions based on Met Office data and scientific modelling.
Ms Mayer said: “By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes! What an innovative and fun idea to highlight this important topic.
“I hope lots of people get to try out the machine and commit to doing more to protect our environment.”
The machine, which will be in the library until February 18, is designed by artist Rachel Jacobs with information by Dr John King, senior researcher at the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge.
He said: “Communicating the complexities and uncertainties of climate change to a general audience has always been challenging. It has been really interesting to work with Rachel to explore new ways of getting the public engaged with climate science and understanding what it means for our lives.”
