There will be more than 200 British real ales from in excess of 100 breweries, along with 80 ciders and perries, at the 45th Cambridge Beer Festival.
The festival this year celebrates the 350th anniversary of Sir Isaac Newton’s refelecting telescope, commemorated by limited edition beer glasses.
This year, the festival has a new organiser, Anthony Cox.
He said: “I’m immensely looking forward to welcoming everyone to this year’s festival.
“Last year we had a record-breaking 44,500 people attend, and we’re hopeful the weather will hold up next week. However, even if it doesn’t, our massive marquees make sure that the beer is still available for all to enjoy.”
The festival, which runs from May 21 to 26, is supporting young persons bereavement charity Stars.
It is organised and run entirely by volunteers and needs more than 400 to make the festival happen. If you’d like to volunteer, visit cambridgebeerfestival.com/volunteering.
