Three men stabbed in Cambridge after ‘altercation’ in city centre

Police arrested two Cambridge men in their 20s, who have been released under investigation.

Three men were stabbed in Sidney Street, Cambridge, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police are appealing for information about the incident. Officers arrested two men who have now been released under investigation.

A police spokesperson said: “We are investigating an incident in Sidney Street Cambridge at 3.30am yesterday morning (10 June).

“An altercation occurred between three men and another man during which three men, in their late 30s, were injured.

“The men were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment for stab wounds. Two have since been discharged and one remains in hospital in a stable condition.

“A man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm and a second man for causing actual bodily harm. Both were in their 20s from Cambridge and have since been released under investigation.”
