Food lovers will be thrilled to learn that a new Italian deli is coming to the city.
Signorelli’s Deli will be opening its doors on December 10 and promises to bring the taste of the Mediterranean.
It will open its doors on Burleigh Street, adjacent to The Grafton centre, with a focus on the freshest of ingredients and homemade food.
Signorelli’s Deli will offer a range of authentic produce to eat in or take away, including fine Italian cheeses, cured hams, Italian wines and craft beers.
Its on-site bakery will be producing daily treats such as chocolate and custard-filled Italian croissants, and other Italian patisserie, as well as delicious ‘Pizza al taglio’, a special kind of deep pan pizza, for lunch and dinner.
Owner Alex Signorelli said: “Burleigh Street is a vibrant destination for independent businesses, and is already home to a number of great cafés and delis. We are passionate about Italian food, and are looking forward to bringing this passion to the people of Cambridge.”
The announcement of Signorelli’s Deli comes as work is progressing on-site as part of The Grafton’s refurbishment programme.
Tom Williams, senior asset manager for Legal & General, added: “We are really excited about the arrival of Signorelli’s Deli on Burleigh Street. We are always keen to nurture independent local businesses, and the deli is the perfect addition to the area.
“The arrival of more independent businesses, coupled with the refurbishment of The Grafton, will transform this area into a varied and exciting shopping and dining destination that offers something different for residents and visitors of Cambridge.”
