Rail line between Cambridge and Dullingham open after incident

Rail services between Cambridge and Dullingham are delayed after an incident on the Abellio Greater Anglia line near Cherry Hinton.

Emergency services attended the scene shortly after 8am after reports that a body was found on the line.

The line is now open after the incident near Cherry Hinton this morning (Thursday, September 29).

A statement from Abellio Greater Anglia said: “Following the emergency services dealing with an incident earlier today between Dullingham and Cambridge all lines are now open.

“Train services running through these stations are returning to normal. Disruption is expected until 11am.”

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew and ambulance officer attended. Sadly, there was nothing that could be done for the patient who died at the scene.”
