Amba, Shepreth Wildlife Park’s resident tiger, marks her 19th birthday tomorrow, August 4, and the park is once again hosting a fabulous birthday party to celebrate!

Tiger Day, now in its 13th year, has helped to raise over £56,000 to help save wild tigers.

There will be a host of events and special guests, including the Young Actors Company who will be on hand to entertain with their sensational tiger performance, Mr Bean’s Magic Show and balloon modelling, and the ever popular jungle bouncy castle.

Star of reality TV show ‘Eden’, Anton Wright, will also be braving the tiger enclosure from 2pm to help hide Amba’s lunch and tiger enrichment ‘toys’!

Inspired by the music of Django Reinhart and Stephane Grappelli, swing jazz band ‘Djangophonix’ will entertain from 3:15pm, alongside ‘Ringo’ the Coati with his extra special ‘pass the parcel’ around the tiger enclosure.

The Cambridge Cats Protection will be on hand, plus face painting, tiger balloons, cakes, raffles, tiger tombolas, auctions and arts & crafts!

Director of Shepreth Wildlife Park Rebecca Willers said: “Come and join us on 4th August, and help us to help save the few remaining tigers left in the wild!”

All funds raised from the day will go to the Tiger Protection and Conservation Unit based in Sumatra.
