“We are totally devastated at the loss of our beautiful Gail”
Gail Brown, 56, of Lowry Close, Haverhill, died following a collision with a Ford Fiesta at about 12.15pm on Friday December 22 on the A1307 eastbound carriageway at Bartlow.
In a statement her family – husband Ian, parents Pat and Michael, sister Lorraine and nephew David – said: “We are totally devastated at the loss of our beautiful Gail.
“Words can’t express how we feel at the moment, but we take immense comfort from all the messages of support we have received from the many, many people who knew and loved her.
“She will be sorely missed by so many people. We kindly ask for some time to grieve in private.”
A woman appeared via video link before Cambridge magistrates on Boxing Day, charged with causing death by dangerous driving in connection to the crash.
Sarah Hand, 50, of Aragon Road in Haverhill, was charged following the collision, which involved three cars and occurred half a mile east of Horseheath Road in Linton. A 43-year-old man driving a Volkswagen Tiguan suffered slight injuries.
Hand did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on January 23.
