Three Tottenham Hotspurs legends will grace the Histon FC Glassworld Stadium on Sunday, July 23.

Tottenham Hotspur footballing legends will be playing at Histon on Sunday (July 23) to support Petals, a charity that provides specialist counselling for parents who have lost babies.

The team – which is set to include former England international Darren Anderton as well as Mark Falco and Justin Edinburgh – will play Histon FC at the Glassworld Stadium.

The Spurs Legends v Histon and Petals XI match, which kicks off at 2pm, is being organised by a family in memory of baby Joey who was stillborn a year ago. Joey’s parents received support from Petals.

Joey’s mother Ellie said: “Petals helped me come to terms with the loss of Joey. They were there to help, even after I was convinced I didn’t need support, five months after I lost him.

“They didn’t judge, they listened and helped me to order a string of events which has changed me forever. They helped me to make sense of something which I’d blamed myself for, even though I know it wasn’t my fault.

“They were able to remind
me of the positive things in my life and all the support around me, which I am incredibly lucky to have.

“Most importantly, Petals allowed me to see a way to move forward after a devastating loss, which allowed me to put everything in my life into perspective.”

Karen Burgess, chief executive of Petals, said: “Funding this important service is challenging and we are so grateful when families choose to give something back through arranging events like this.”

Gates will open at the Glassworld Stadium at noon. Tickets are still available on the Spurs Legends v Histon & Petals XI Eventbrite page.
