Aime Fullwood and Tiana Walker smashed hat-tricks as Cambridge City won 9-1 against Sawston in S-Tech Girls’ League, Division 13A.

It took City a while to get into their stride, but it was only in the last five minutes that they grabbed their last three goals, after Niambh Martin had scored Sawston’s consolation.

Milly Clarke, Niamh Davies and Yara Ghidini, who was City’s player of the match, were also on target for City.

Cambridge City and Burwell Tigers drew 0-0 in 14A.

Both teams were thwarted by the keepers, with City’s shot-stopper Sally Phelps earning the player-of-the-match award.

Celine McIntyre fired a treble as Cambridge City under-15s
won 9-0 against Plantation Spartak.

City headed to Saffron Walden in good form, aiming to make it five wins out of five.

McIntyre scored two early goals, but City were finding the Plantation keeper in good form. Eventually, however, their possession game paid off.

She went on to complete her hat-trick, with Eve Rose and Ceri Flye bagging braces and Alex Smith and Sofia Castiglione got one apiece.

Cambridge City secured a 4-0 victory at St Ives Rangers in 16A.

The Lilywhites were on the front foot straight away, though they were finding it difficult to get into their usual passing game.

City took the lead through Yas Crow and it was not long before she added her second to make it 2-0 at half time.

After the break, Megan Tonks and Erin Fox added a goal each as City’s tenacity and perseverance paid off as they sealed victory.
