Cambridge City are through to the final of the Eastern Region Women’s League Cup.
The Division One side faced Premier Division AFC Dunstable in the semi-final, and won 2-0.
After a shaky start, City opened the scoring through Bella Simmons’ 21st goal of the season.
City defended well in the second half, and wrapped up the game through Bronte Rapley’s 25-yard free kick, securing a final place against Haringey.
In the Premier Division, Histon were beaten 2-1 by championship-hopefuls Acle.
They produced one of their best performances of the season, going ahead after 10 minutes with Kirsty Smith and Jordanne Sillitoe combining for Amanda Binge to score.
Acle levelled after 22 minutes, but in an even second half, Sophie Lanham hit the bar for Histon with a 25-yard free kick.
However, Acle got the winner in the 76th minute in a goalmouth melee.
Cambridge City Development won 5-0 against Cambridge Rangers to win the S-Tech Championship South title at the first time of asking, with one game remaining.
They have picked up three points in all but one game this season, which was drawn.
