Initiative is an early bird season ticket offer

Cambridge United have launched a #UnitedSince1912 season ticket campaign aimed at celebrating and rewarding the loyalty of their fan base.

The scheme is split across two periods, and while reflecting on their history it is also focused on future U’s supporters.

The first phase is a four-week early bird deal to May 8, which includes a number of fan incentives.

The #UnitedSince1912 campaign celebrates the loyalty of United supporters and includes The 12th Fan initiative, in partnership with Mick George.

The No 12 shirt has been reserved for the 2018-19 season, and 23 season-ticker holders will be selected at random during the early-bird window for each of the 23 home games to be the club’s official 12th man.

The campaign aims to reward U’s supporters by decreasing season ticket prices for those who purchase before the early bird deadline. The #UnitedSince1912 campaign also sees a 28-day giveaway of prizes for those signed up for the 2018-19 season.

The club are looking to create the fan base of the future so are relaunching the Junior U’s scheme.

It coincides with free junior season tickets for under-12s, with a £10 annual membership fee, and a decrease in season tickets of up to 60 per cent for under-18s. They will be available from £49.

Shaun Grady, United’s director of business, said: “We wanted to thank our supporters for their commitment to the club and demonstrate this through a decrease in all season ticket prices when purchasing during the early purchase window.

“We want to continue to develop our proud club’s fan base and as part of that, we hope that by making junior season tickets free and substantially decreasing under 18s season tickets, we can make it significantly easier for the fans of the future to initially engage with our football club.”

Concession season ticket prices within blocks C and D of the Mundipharma Community Stand will also be re-introduced.
