Sean Greygoose to be first-team coach on permanent basis
Kevin Hoover and Sean Greygoose will take charge of Cambridge United Women on a permanent basis.
When manager Steve Edwards departed in November, general manager Hoover and assistant boss Greygoose temporarily took charge.
It has now been announced that Hoover will assume the role of first-team manager and Greygoose becomes the first-team coach with the Women’s Premier League side.
In the county girls’ league, player-of-the-match Bella Ely and Ruby Austin got two goals apiece as Cambridge City won 5-1 against Sawston in 13A.
Rosanna Mead completed the scoring for City, who have one match remaining this season.
Madison Shanks found the net twice for Cambridge City in 13B as they won 2-0 against Milton.
They still have eight games remaining this season, and are hoping to be in the mix at the end.
Emily White struck twice and Lucy Short got one as Cambridge City under-12s won 3-0 against Saffron Walden PSG to keep alive their outside hopes of promotion, if leaders Netherton are to slip up.
Cambridge City under-11s have set up a League Cup final against Coton after beating Saffron Walden PSG 6-0 in the semi-finals.
