David Forde to stay for 2018/19 season

Medy Elito and Piero Mingoia will be leaving Cambridge United.

The duo have been released by the club on the expiry of their contracts after two years at the Abbey, with the U’s announcing their retain/release list on the conclusion of their 2017/18 season.

It was revealed last week that Leon Legge would be leaving after three years at the Abbey Stadium.

Goalkeeper David Forde has triggered an extension to his contract that means he will remain with United for the 2018/19 campaign.

Discussions are continuing with striker Barry Corr, who is also out of contract.

George Taft and Billy Waters have returned to Mansfield Town and Northampton Town respectively on completion of their respective loans.

All remaining professional players are under contract with the football club for next season.
