End of season for championship

Luke Mossey was unable to end his MCE British Superbike Championship season on a high in the final round at Brands Hatch.

The racer finished 13th in the three-time restarted first race and was ninth in the second race.

Mossey and his Quattro Plant TECcare Kawasaki team completed the campaign in sixth spot, the highest position of his career.

“It was generally a tough weekend with lots of stops and starts, weather changes, track problems and to be fair I didn’t want to do anything stupid and end up in the medical centre,” said Mossey.

“I’ve had a great season and made progress in the last year. I honestly can’t thank the Quattro Plant TECcare team enough for all their work, help and dedication that they have put into me this year.

“They have stuck by me 100 per cent and given me the belief that I can do well. It was great to get into the final showdown and it’s been quite an emotional year.

“I love being part of the Championship and also the Quattro team they have been brilliant and I can’t put it into words how grateful I am for their help.

“The season was great and next year I want to keep improving and moving forward.”
