Successes at Newmarket and Hatfield meets

City of Cambridge Swimming Club members had a raft of success at two separate meetings.

At Newmarket, they dominated the meet, with Joe Randall the top boy and Matilda Ransome the top girl and City the top club overall.

Some of the more experienced swimmers went to the Hatfield Xmas Meet, and had plentiful success

Assistant head coach Tom Sarah said: “I am really proud of the team this weekend. Most swimmers achieved new personal best times with many getting qualification for the county and regional events next year.

Some of the more experienced swimmers went to the Hatfield Xmas Meet, and had plentiful success.

Standout performances came from Millie Emmans in the 14+ 200m freestyle, Hugo Bellamy in the 14+ 200m butterfly and Marcus Moscuzza in the under-13 200m breaststroke.

“A fantastic performance over the weekend from all our team,” said head coach James Freezer. They have all been working exceptionally hard and it’s great to see the efforts paying off.”
