A blistering score from David Fagan guided Foxton to a six-wicket win over Histon in Whiting & Partners Cambs and Hunts Premier League, Division One.
Histon batted first and the partnership between captain Ben Leach (40) and Will Brown (83) was the basis of their innings as they put on 134 for the fourth wicket.
Alfie Dixon weighed in with an unbeaten 44 as Histon reached 252 for 5, with Jeffrey Douglas taking three for 20.
Craig Park made 53, off 58 balls, for Foxton in reply, and when he was dismissed it brought Yannick Elliot (47 not out) and Fagan together.
They had a partnership of 123 to guide Foxton to victory with 254 for 4, with Fagan hitting 69 not out off 53 balls, including 13 fours.
In Division Two, Jake Lawrence was the star for Cambridge Granta II as they beat Great Shelford by 124 runs.
Lawrence smashed 102 off 121 balls, while Deepak Raj (41 not out) and Zaman Akhter (38) also weighed in with valuable runs as Granta closed on 282 for 9, despite Paul Ellum’s best efforts with the ball.
He took four for 77, while Tom Barnard claimed two for 52.
Opener Robin Mann made 47 for Great Shelford, but there were not enough runs from the rest of the team as they were bowled out for 158.
John Turner (three for 37), Hamza Rashid (three for 6) and Jason James (three for 18) shared the wickets to put the skids under Shelford.
Cambridge St Giles were beaten by 23 runs by Thriplow. The visitors made 255 for 7, but St Giles were unable to chase down the total as they finished on 232 for 8.
