Company and grassroots football club are recognised

S-Tech earn the company of the month award for their outstanding support of women’s football in the region.

S-Tech have been sponsoring the Cambridgeshire girls’ and women’s leagues for 11 seasons now.

When they started sponsoring the leagues, they had approximately 50 teams.

The league now has more than 120 teams, which shows the growth of women’s and girls’ football in the county.

Chris Abbott, the women’s and girls’ league secretary at Cambridgeshire FA, said: “They have been a very supportive from the very outset.

“They attend all the girls and women’s cup finals every season as well as partaking in cup draws that we have filmed on YouTube and other social media
channels. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they have been a very
pro-active sponsor.”

Swavesey Spartans have won the grassroots football club of the month award.

Swavesey Spartans run youth football sessions in their local area.

They have grown a huge amount over the past few seasons.

Four years ago, Swavesey Spartans did not have any girls’ football teams and now they run five girls’ teams and 19 teams in total.

Their teams run from under-seven up to under-17. They are a charter standard club and emphasize the importance of Respect at all their games.
