Thirds put rivals Cambridge South V to the sword
Garth Hanlon netted a hat-trick as Cambridge Nomads III won 6-0 against Cambridge South V in East Men’s League, Division 6NW (S).
William Dyer was also on target with a brace and Julian Shellard scored his first goal for Nomads.
Cambridge Nomads’ first team run of recent results with one goal being crucial continued as they were on the wrong end of the scoreline in Division One as they lost 3-2 at Shefford & Sandy.
Martin Hamon and Rich Lloyd were Nomads’ scorers.
Goals from Stu Rimmer and Chris Pearson could not stop Cambridge South falling to a 3-2 defeat to Letchworth II in 2S.
Second-half efforts from Dom Reeve and Ali Edge secured Cambridge South II a 2-1 victory over Bourne Deeping III in 4NW.
Paul Matthews’ goal could not stop Cambridge Nomads II losing their first game of 2018 with a 2-1 reversal against Cambridge City V.
The goals were shared around by Cambridge South III as they triumphed 4-3 at Long Sutton II, with Ash Artaman, Ed Boggis, Joe Whittaker and Nev Warren the scorers.
Dave Monck was at the double for South IV and Paul South and Rob Barton got one each as they beat St Neots V 4-0 in 6NW (S).
Robyn McLean scored the only goal of the game as Cambridge South defeated Pelicans 1-0 in East Women’s League, Division 2NW.
Cambridge Nomads drew 1-1 with Long Sutton.
Kate Westgate scored as they led for most of the game. Ellie Martin had a close shot towards the end, but Long Sutton got the equaliser from a messy short corner late on.
Lucy Davidson and Izzy MacDonald-Parry were on target for Cambridge South II as they earned a 2-0 victory over Haverhill II in 4NW (S).
But Cambridge South IV were beaten 2-0 by Newmarket III in 5NW (S).
