Christmas cheer for third team

Cambridge South III will head into the Christmas break on top of the East Men’s League, Division 5NW table after beating Ely City II 5-1.

Jonny Camp scored his first goal for the club and Rob Barton, skipper Ed Boggis, Simon Ta and Dave Monck got one apiece to seal the win.

Sam Polge scored a late goal for Cambridge South as they drew 1-1 with Norwich Dragons in Division Two.

Mike Longson scored twice and Jack Franklin got one as Cambridge Nomads drew 3-3 with UEA in 2N.

Zinny Longson grabbed Nomads III’s goal in their 4-1 defeat to St Neots IV in 4NW.

Cambridge South IV won 5-2 against St Ives IV in 6NW (S) thanks to goals from Alex Pashley, Paul South, Ash Dookun, Rupert Espley and Ky Ho, with his first in 20 years at the club.

Kate Westgage hit a hat-trick for Cambridge Nomads as they sealed a 9-0 win over Cambridge University III in East Women’s League, Division 2NW.

Flip Toley netted twice and Charlotte Argue, Lily Matthews, Liz Johnson and Laura Parker were also on target.

Laura Ludlow notched a double and Hannah Kenyon, Kim Cooil and Felicity Renny got one apiece as Cambridge South won 5-0 against City of Peterborough III in 3NW.

Four goals from Izzy MacDonald-Parry, two from Kate Burton and one each from Kendra Seed and Hazel Polge saw Cambridge South II defeat Ely City III 8-0 in 4NW (S).

Pippa Saunders and Louisa Warburton put in good performances for Cambridge South III in their 6-0 defeat to Ely City II, while Cambridge Nomads II lost 1-0 to Bury St Edmunds.
