Three Cambridge & Coleridge Athletic Club records were broken at the Southern Athletics League, Division 2E meeting at Ipswich.
The club travelled to the fixture with a skeleton squad, so it was all hands to the pumps to try to accumulate as many points as possible.
And there were some star performances on show.
Sullivan Smith, a V40 athlete, followed up his win at the British Masters 10K to beat a youthful field in the 3,000m in 8min 53sec.
Full-time nurse and GB athlete Vicky Knight added the second C&C record, winning the 5,000m in 17min 11sec.
The third record to fall went to under-20 hurdler Finlay Marriott, who clocked 12.5sec in the 100m hurdles.
There were wins for Sam Richards (long jump), Samuel Clarke (triple jump), Aedan Slack (shot put), Julia Paternain (1,500m), Emma Schaertlin-Coffey (steeplechase) and Anne Moindrot (discus).
Earning valuable points for C&C were Stephen Green, who competed in the 100m, 200m 400m and relay; Jess Fox, who did the short sprints and the long, triple and high jumps, earning two victories; club stalwart did the 800m, 1,500m and steeplechase; Jordan Wood ran the 800, 1,500m and 400m; and Curtis Wood defied injury to win the high jump.
It was a big team performance as C&C took third, behind City of Norwich and Ipswich Harriers, and the club will be aiming to keep their promotion bid on track at the next meeting.
