Cantabs on the rise

Nicky Little’s words of wisdom may have been ringing in the ears of Cantabrigian’s players as they continued their good form this season by winning 30-12 at Norwich in London League 2NE.

Little is Fiji’s top points scorer and was invited to Sedley Taylor Road by Cantabs head coach Glen Remnant, with the pair being long-term friends, to run some moves with the backs.

“Glen is developing a running style of rugby, as opposed to our forward-dominated style,” said club president Nigel Faben.

“This is now starting to show dividends after a slow start to the season. The club has enjoyed two promotions in the last four years and is now looking to perform well again in London 2.

“Cantabs are delighted that Glen chose to join Cantabs as head coach at the start of the season following Mick Jones decision to join Royston.

“Glen is keen to develop our coaching staff and it is interesting to note that seventeen players have expressed interest in attending a Level One coaching course. “

Cantabs had run in 11 tries against Campion two weeks ago, and they earned their fourth win of the campaign to go up to third in the table by beating Norwich 30-12.

Jonny Regan touched down two tries and Finn Morrison, who was named man of the match, and Francois Eve got one apiece.

James Hayward completed the scoring with two penalties and two conversions.

League leaders Diss are the visitors to Cantabs, who will be out to make it five wins in a row.
