Iconic rock singer forced to pull the plug after co-headliner Living Colour books a conflicting run for the same dates

Glenn Hughes has been forced to cancel his UK and European tour today after co-headliner Living Colour booked a conflicting support slot on Alter Bridge’s European tour. Living Colour’s new management knowingly booked them on to the Alter Bridge tour, even though they were already confirmed for the Glenn Hughes tour, tickets for which had been on sale since April. Alter Bridge and Glenn Hughes have been friends for a long time and neither Alter Bridge, their management and agents or even Living Colour’s agent TKO were aware that this was happening.

Glenn Hughes, the former Trapeze, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Black Country Communion vocalist, was planning to tour Europe – and was set to appear at The Junction on November 19 – in support of his upcoming solo album, Resonate.

When promoters heard that Living Colour were no longer planning to perform on the pre-arranged dates, they were forced to refund all tickets. Therefore, all those who had tickets for Glenn Hughes’ UK and European tour will be offered refunds at the point of purchase and can call the venues for more information.

“I am saddened and disappointed that I will not be able to perform for my UK and European fans as I had originally intended,” said Hughes. “When I partnered with Living Colour to do this tour, I thought we would be able to make something special happen at these shows. Unfortunately, an undermining manager got involved and in turn ruined what would have been an amazing tour. I can’t wait to get back to the UK and Europe to bring the new songs of Resonate to my fans overseas.”

Resonate, produced by Glenn Hughes and Soren Andersen, has been receiving critical acclaim from media and fans alike. The album is available for pre-order via Amazon, iTunes and Google Play and will be available from November 4.
