100 Cambridge businesses now signed up at Click It Local - including Cambridge Independent
Click It Local now has 100 local businesses and independents signed up to its delivery platform, and has expanded the service from its Cambridge origins into St Ives, Saffron Walden, Newmarket, Ely, Haverhill and Royston.
The virtual high street delivery service launched in April and allows local shops to compete with the likes of Amazon on convenience and choice. Click It Local allows any shop, big or small, to set up a free online click and collect or delivery service. Making it easy and convenient for customers to shop and browse multiple products and buy from their favourite shops.
The Cambridge Independent is available to buy on the platform, for no extra delivery fee.
Click It Local founder and Soham resident Steven Koch says: “The past few months have been an exceptionally challenging time for local shops and we are proud to be able to support our locals and independents with an additional revenue stream.
“Since launching in Cambridgeshire six weeks ago, we have seen a real need for a fast local delivery service so that consumers can shop locally more often. We want to enable regional shops that are not just close to cities, have another way of staying open and trading whilst supporting the local communities and the local high street.”
Steven is calling for local shops to sign up and for the Cambridgeshire and Ely community to support their local stores.
“Through Click It Local, communities are rediscovering their local high street. Our aim is to ensure we can all continue to shop locally more regularly, support our independent shops and provide for the local community,” he says.
The Click It Local app is currently in development due to go live soon.
