100th cohort of Marshall apprentices given virtual induction
Marshall Centre proudly welcomed its 100th cohort of apprentices through a 90 per cent virtual induction last week.
Although the pandemic has caused disruption to many apprenticeship providers, the Marshall Centre team was agile and quick to adapt, ensuring that they could continue delivering their world-class training safely and effectively.
Unable to capture a group photograph to commemorate their first week, individual headshots of the apprentices interacting with a custom augmented reality filter were adapted for a collective picture.
The image “encapsulates the way people have become accustomed to working virtually in 2020 and is a timely reminder of how Marshall Centre, and businesses overall, have had to adapt and innovate throughout the year”.
Recently obtaining Main Provider status, Marshall Centre is now offering its world-leading apprenticeships and training to external customers, utilising their experience developed over the last 100 years to future-proof businesses and help them stay ahead of the curve.
The 100th cohort of apprentices were asked to discuss why they chose an apprenticeship with Marshall Centre and here are some of the responses:
“I joined Marshall as an apprentice because I always had an interest in aircraft engineering and Marshall provides one of the best apprenticeship programmes in the country.”
“At the end of my apprenticeship I hope to continue my career with Marshall where I can gain more knowledge and experience to work my way up into a higher position.”
“I chose this apprenticeship because I’ve always been interested in aerospace, how aeronautical systems work and wanted to gain practical experience instead of a degree.”
To celebrate 100 years of continued apprenticeships, Marshall will be sharing stories throughout the year from past and present apprentices, leading up to a celebration event (Covid regulations permitting) towards the end of 2021.
