Audio Analytic to sponsor DCASE Workshop for fifth year

Audio Analytic will sponsor the DCASE Workshop for the fifth year running, alongside Bose, Apple, Google, Facebook, Dolby and others.

Being held virtually from November 15-19, it will be hosted and co-ordinated by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.

DCASE (Detection and Classification of Acoustic Scenes and Events) is the leading peer-based sound recognition community and brings academia and industry together to to share research on the detection and classification of acoustic scenes and events.

Speakers and poster presentations will cover tasks, methods, resources and applications for computational environmental audio analysis.

Emma Price, marketing and communications manager at the Cambridge company - which uses sound recognition to bring contextual AI to machines, devices and smartphones - said: “We sponsor the DCASE Workshop, as it plays an important part in bringing together the community of researchers from many different universities and companies worldwide, with interest in the topic of sound recognition, and provides the opportunity for the exchange of ideas and opinions.”
