Babraham and Unity Campus win at UK Science Park Association (UKSPA) 40th anniversary




Babraham Research Campus and Unity Campus both won awards at the recent UK Science Park Association (UKSPA) 40th anniversary.

Babraham Research Campus secured the award for ‘Driving an Interactive Community’, while Unity Campus won the ‘Driving an Interactive Community – Small Member’ title.

Attendees were captivated at the gala awards dinner at which renowned theoretical physicist, author and broadcaster Professor Jim Al-Khalili delivered an inspiring speech celebrating the exceptional achievements and contributions of science parks and innovation clusters throughout the UK. The awards recognised industry pioneers in various categories, highlighting the innovation, sustainability, and community engagement efforts of the winners.

John Leake, chair at UKSPA, said: “The 40th anniversary conference proved to be a great success reflecting all that is great about the Association with our 150 science park and innovation location members. The awards ceremony expertly hosted by Jim Al-Khalili, showcased the breadth of excellence across the sector from sustainability to partnerships and networks, customer service to innovation, tackling the skills challenges to celebrating the best of the young talent in science parks.”

“This accolade is particularly meaningful as it recognises our ongoing commitment to building an engaged, collaborative, and innovative community within the life sciences sector,” said a spokesperson for Babraham Research Campus.
