Cambridge Wide Open goes weekly with kaleidoscope of events
Cambridge Wide Open is so popular it is running for a week in 2025 rather than the single day of previous years.
The open-house event returns in June as a week-long interactive festival showcasing Cambridge’s pioneers, the companies of the future, and opening the offices and workspaces that make up one of the world’s most vibrant science, technology and business ecosystems.
The third annual occasion runs from 9-13 June, offering an immersive experience to global investors, teams from executives to employees, sci-tech enthusiasts, policymakers, academics, schools and colleges, and curious residents alike.
The city’s leading companies and science parks will once again be opening their doors for rare behind-the-scenes tours where visitors can interact with the latest advancements in science that are shaping the future.
Central to the newly-expanded Cambridge Wide Open Week (CWOW) event will be a two-day ‘Ventures Tour’ where cutting-edge biotech/techbio companies from start-up to series B will be making their investment pitches.
Cambridge Wide Open Week will include keynotes, talks, discussions, pitches, workshops, masterclasses, demos, conferences, networking and community-driven events.
New this year is the BIA TechBio X event and the AstraZeneca Exchange event, both of which are taking place at the iconic DISC on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. There will also be a biotech bikers event, a Community Day led by Form the Future in which local students are connected to careers in science, a Creative Disruption Forum event, a networking event by Conexen, a 02h Group summer garden party, and more.
Organiser Prashant Shah, o2h co-founder and co-CEO, said: “We are excited about shaping a week of life sciences at the home of life sciences.
“By bringing together such a dynamic group, we aim to create opportunities for inspiration, collaboration, investment and knowledge-sharing. Last year, more than 1,000 people explored 160+ companies across 21+ venues where 177+ talks, presentations, tours, demos, and masterclasses took place during Cambridge Wide Open Day.”
The pitching events will feature portfolio clients including Accelerate@Babraham, Amadeus Capital, Cambridge Angels, Cambridge Enterprise, Cambridge Innovation Capital, Cambridge Judge Business School, Innovate UK, 02H Ventures, Meltwind, and Parkwalk.
Sponsors include Mills & Reeve (main), alongside Deloitte, Keltie, FORA, Appleyard Lees, Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst, and ET Capital, with promotion by cofinitive and the Cambridge Tech Podcast.
Organisations wishing to participate or sponsor the event should email cwow@o2h.com by 30 April to be included. Details here.
