Co-op opens new funeral branch in Sawston

Second branch in Cambridge area in past three months

The East of England Co-op Funeral Services has opened a new branch in Sawston High Street.

Familiar local faces Tracy Gardner, funeral co-ordinator, and David Downes, funeral manager, will be running the branch which has a welcoming reception area and a private arranging room.

Tracy said: “I am pleased and proud to open a new East of England Co-op Funeral Services branch and to offer support to the community I have been a part of for more than 30 years.

“The loss of a loved one can be an extremely difficult and unfamiliar time but we offer a professional and reassuring service in a respectful environment to bring comfort to families.”

The Co-op opened its first Cambridge branch, in Histon Road, late last year.

David added: “Our new branch ensures that more people in and around Cambridge have access to our renowned services, including bereavement support. Both Tracy and I look forward to meeting the local community and encourage all to visit the branch for a chat over a cup of tea or coffee.”

The branch is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am-4.30pm.
