By Paul Brackley

Dardan Security has opened a new head office and control room in Great Shelford after winning a series of major clients.

The company, the largest security operator in the Eastern region, now helps to secure Cambridge University Library, port operator Peel Ports and international law firm Mishcon de Reya.

It provides security guards, patrols, alarm systems, CCTV installation, remote monitoring, keyholding, data and cyber security and consultancy.

Managing director Philip Anthony, who has worked in the private security sector for almost 25 years for companies including Securicor, Reliance, G4S, OCS and Knightsbridge, said: “Continued growth and expansion, both geographically and in terms of the scope of the security services we offer, has seen the company become a major player on a national level.

“On the back of recent success and with clients located the length and breadth of the country, the requirement for a centrally located head office and control room has become increasingly evident.”

The move to its new three-storey home at Grain House in Mill Court, Great Shelford, has created eight new jobs.
