Now in their seventh year, these are the leading awards for science and technology in the Cambridge region - and attract interest from all over the world.

Hundreds of people will gather in May to find out who has won this time from the astonishing array of talent here. Shortlisted nominees will be given free tickets to the awards.

There are awards for biotech, medtech, cleantech, AI, life science and technology, plus a Start-up of the Year category backed by Kao Data and the One to Watch award, for companies at their earliest staged, supported once again by ull service, integrated communications company cofinitive.

New this year is our Software Company of the Year award, sponsored by Mantle, operator of flexible business space including The Bradfield Centre.

And among our new sponsors is Railpen, which is backing The Award for Innovation.

Matthew Howard, head of property at Railpen, said: “Railpen are delighted to support these awards, celebrating the brightest, forward-thinking organisations within science and technology. The Award for Innovation is a particularly exciting category, where we can put the spotlight on organisations who are truly pioneering and dedicated to the pursuit of progress.”

Enter the awards by the end of 31 January here – where you can also read about the rules and details of the categories.

One category not available for entry is the In Search of Wonder Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Waterbeach agency JDJ Creative. It will be determined by a panel. Last year, it was won by angel investor and entrepreneur Peter Cowley.
