Now in their eighth year, the awards are the premier celebration of science and technology sectors in the region, attracting interest from far and wide.

Editor and host Paul Brackley said: “It is always wonderful to see the entries coming in for these awards, as they detail such incredible achievements from a host of sectors.

“The standard is always exceptionally high and the judging panel is sure to have a challenge on its hands when it meets in February.”

There are 15 categories to enter:

Start-up of the Year
STEM Initiative of the Year
The Award for Innovation
Researcher of the Year
The Tech for Good Award
The One to Watch
Cleantech Company of the Year
Employer of the Year
Biotech Company of the Year
Medtech Company of the Year
AI Company of the Year
Software Company of the Year
CEO of the Year
Technology Company of the Year
Life Science Company of the Year

In addition to the winners of these categories, we will also be revealing the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award – selected by an expert panel – at the event.

The awards will be held on Thursday, 15 May, at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre, on the Wellcome Genome Campus, with a networking reception followed by the ceremony in the Francis Crick Auditorium.

Finalists get two free tickets to the awards. A limited number of remaining tickets will go on sale in March via Eventbrite for others who would like to attend.

Winning can prove a real boost for companies and individuals.

Antony Rix, CEO and co-founder of Lucida Medical, which won AI Company of the Year at the 2024 awards, said: “Being highlighted as AI Company of the Year gave Lucida Medical a tremendous boost at the point where our Pi technology is being rolled out to hospitals across the UK and Europe.
