Finalists for 2023 Cambridge Independent SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards revealed
The finalists for the 2023 Cambridge Independent SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards can now be revealed.
Shortlisted in categories from Best New Business to Community Business of the Year, these small- and medium-sized businesses are a showcase of the county’s vibrant economy.
An independent panel was tasked with judging the entries, and the winners will be revealed at a glittering black-tie awards ceremony at Cambridge Country Club in Bourn on Thursday, September 28.
Editor Paul Brackley said: “Congratulations to all our finalists on their shortlisting. We had a very strong set of entries and it is so encouraging to see so many different sectors represented here.
“We look forward to revealing the winners at what is always a terrific event.”
Barr Ellison is returning as headline sponsor this year, and is supporting both the Property Industry Business of the Year category and the Service Excellence award.
Also among the finalists is Magnum Accountancy, which is shortlisted in the Best New Business category sponsored by @Inc (MENTA).
Founder and CEO Daxa Khunti is also shortlisted in the Businesswoman of the Year category.
It follows other success for the company, which was awarded the Best Professional Services Start-Up of the Year by the Startup Awards East of England, an award given to businesses that have demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and innovation.
Daxa said of that award: “I am honoured to receive this award and proud of this achievement, which highlights our commitment to providing exceptional accounting services and delivering outstanding results for our clients.”
Also supporting the awards this year are Productheads, which helps hire, scale and train product teams. It is sponsoring the Business Innovation category.
The Cambridge Building Society’s society’s community focus means it is a natural sponsor for the Community Business of the Year category, which features finalists who go the distance to support those around them.
South Cambridgeshire District Council is backing the Sustainability category, acknowledging the emphasis it is placing on helping businesses to grow and develop in sustainable ways through the work of its business support team.
And Growth Works, which is helping businesses across the country to scale, is supporting the High Growth Business of the Year category, which promises to be a fascinating battle between businesses operating in very different fields.
Winners of many of the categories will go to represent Cambridgeshire at the National SME Business Awards, held at Wembley.
Tickets are now available for our awards night by calling us on 01223 320329 or 07801 195612. For more information on awards night or the awards themselves, visit cambridgeshireawards.co.uk. For any queries on awards night, email emily.lloyd-ruck@iliffemedia.co.uk.
