Finalists revealed for Cambridge Independent Business Awards 2024
The finalists for the inaugural Cambridge Independent Business Awards can now be revealed.
Following extensive judging from an experienced panel, the shortlisted candidates across 14 categories have been chosen from a huge number of entries.
They will now be invited to attend the awards ceremony at the spectacular Great Hall at King’s College, Cambridge, on 26 September, where the winners will be revealed.
The awards feature Cambridge law firm Barr Ellison as a headline sponsor.
And we can reveal this week that AstraZeneca has joined the sponsors, supporting the Award for Collaboration.
It is a natural category for the Cambridge-headquartered biopharmaceutical company, which has many collaborations with academic and industry partners in the region.
Editor Paul Brackley, who chaired the judging panel for the awards, said: “We are delighted to reveal the shortlisted companies for the inaugural Cambridge Independent Business Awards. Congratulations to them all for making it this far.
“We were very pleased to see so many high-quality nominations coming in for the awards, which gave the judges a tough task. My thanks to the panel for their time and expertise and to FORA, in Station Road, for hosting one of our judging sessions.
“I would also like to welcome AstraZeneca as a sponsor of these awards, and thank all our partners for their support.
“The black tie awards event at the Great Hall at King’s promises to be a fantastic occasion: a real celebration of the achievements of companies across so many sectors.
“From small to large, and from start-ups to well-established names, these awards represent a showcase of great talent. Good luck to all our finalists.”
