Four Cambridge start-ups on Impact55 shortlist for HCR Hewitsons’ programme
Ten businesses have been shortlisted for the next stage of HCR Hewitsons’ Impact55 programme, which will provide £25,000 of legal advice to the business judged to be making the most impact, is investible and has potential for growth.
The shortlisted businesses cover a range of sectors including agriculture, medical, construction and food production and have all already raised funding but are now looking for support to prepare them for the next stage of their business journey.
Among the 10 companies are four from Cambridge:
- Spotta, which detects bed bugs for hospitality businesses;
- Lambda Energy, which crop enhancing paint is applied to the outside of a greenhouse via an electric spray gun and boosts crop yield;
- Barocal, which has discovered a new class of solid materials that match the thermal performance of traditional refrigerants; and
- Nanomation, which mission is to bring forward the benefits of nanotechnology through automation software.
