Now in its fourth year, CSM Day is hosted by Shifties and Cambridge Social Media, who are joining forces once again “to help freelancers and entrepreneurs make the most of strategic-focused digital marketing opportunities in today’s ever-changing world”.

Mark is a globally recognised keynote speaker, educator, business consultant, and author. His blog {grow} is hailed as one of the top marketing blogs in the world. He recently published his 10th book, Cumulative Advantage, all about how to become unstoppable.

He will be sharing six questions you need to ask to create your social media strategy at Cambridge Social Media Day on October 19 and 20.

This year, the popular event is CPD accredited. Attendees will be able to request a certificate after completing the training.

Founder of Cambridge Social Media, Lenka Koppová, said: “Cambridge Social Media has always followed a ‘help me to help you’ approach. Our main motto is to empower others and collaborate.

“We’re really excited to have an iconic headline keynote speaker joining the event, to help all our attendees to think more strategically about their social media marketing.

“There are lots of businesses who need help with their overall understanding and learning about social media and that’s where we saw a perfect opportunity to partner up with Shifties again where their motto is ‘Connect, Learn, Grow’.”

One of the key topics this year will be staying mentally fit while using social media as business owners.

Many businesses have embraced social media during the pandemic. This has created lots of opportunities but it can be a huge strain on mental health. CSM Day 2021 will be inviting participants to look at ways entrepreneurs can avoid being ‘always on’.

Founder of Shifties, Alex Hughes, said: “In the world of micro business, social media is too good an opportunity to not leverage the access you can gain to your potential customers and build communities of brand advocates. However, this does not have to come at the expense of your mental health.

“We will be bringing to the table the discussion around having the right mindset to get what you need strategically from your marketing activities and open the conversation further to developing the right mindset to truly unlock the potential it can have for you and

your business.”
