Keynote star Terry Nicklin hits unsung hero top note
Terry Nicklin of Keynote PR has been awarded the ‘Unsung Hero’ award in the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) East Volunteer Awards.
Terry, a chartered marketer and chairman of the Cambridgeshire branch of CIM, won the title which is given to “...the volunteer who quietly, efficiently and effectively gets things done and is always willing to help”.
CIM said: “It’s his consistency, tenacity and hard work that ensures we deliver stand-out events each year.”
Terry, who has more than 25 years’ experience in marketing and PR and runs Keynote, his own award-winning PR consultancy, has led the organisation of the CIM Digital Marketing Conference for the last 13 years – unfortunately cancelled this year.
“I feel highly honoured to have received this recognition,” he said. “I’ve been very lucky to have been in marketing at a time of radical transformation, and to have enjoyed the support of such a great team.”
Founded in 1911, the CIM is a professional marketing body with 30,000 members and 3,000 chartered marketers, 130 study centres in 36 countries and exam centres in 132 countries.
