Conexen community to expand to Oxford and London
Life sciences networking events organiser and host Conexen will open its doors in Oxford and London later this year, in addition to the ongoing activities in Cambridge.
There’s an Oxford event on 12 September, with the next one in Cambridge due on 18 September at the Pitt Building in the city centre.
Conexen events, inaugurated in January 2022, have blossomed into a dynamic community uniting professionals from diverse healthcare fields and corporate landscapes, all united by a shared commitment to fostering relationships and building a robust community. The network welcomes professionals from the pharma, life sciences, medical device, and health tech sectors, as well as professionals from non-profits, research foundations, and academic institutions.
And now the Conexen team, headed by founder Paula Bekinschtein, is joining forces with OutBio UK, the network and forum for LGBTQ professionals working in biotech in the UK, for this event, which will be hosted by KISS Communications.
“Picture this as more than just an event,” says a Conexen spokesperson. “It’s a community gathering.
“Our focus is on providing you with an opportunity to meet fellow professionals in a relaxed and amiable environment. We’ll share conversations over delicious food and drinks, listen to inspiring speakers, continue chatting, and leave with a sense of excitement and a pocketful of new contacts and ideas.”
The theme of the 18 September evening at the Pitt Building is ‘Authentic Leadership in Life Sciences and Biopharma’. The panel will be facilitated by Sarah Reakes, managing director, KISS Communications. The panellists will be Gwenaelle Pemberton, SVP regulatory affairs & quality, Beacon Therapeutics, Mike Murphy, portfolio manager at Meltwind Advisory LLP, and Mari Williams, business therapist and leadership coach, Williams Thinks. Doors open at 6pm.
