OKRA.ai ranked ninth fastest-growing tech company - and wins Deloitte UK Fast 50 Women in Leadership award




OKRAI.ai has won the Deloitte UK Fast 50 Women in Leadership award and ranked ninth in its list of the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK 2022.

The Cambridge-based company, which provides AI-powered solutions for life science and pharma, has recorded a stunning 4,227 per cent growth over the last four years.

CEO Dr Loubna Bouarfa, an advocate for diversity and women’s power, collected the Fast 50 Women in Leadership award and said: “We’ve been playing music without sheets and now we’re writing it. Our technology supports pharmaceutical companies to bring the right drug to the right patient at speed. We help uncover business-critical insights that directly impact physicians and patients; so far, we’re only scratching the surface.”

She added: “It’s important for women to be part of the new revolution of AI and technology. It’s also important to have women equally involved in creating the new systems that will make future decisions. It’s important for our world.”

The St John’s Innovation Centre-based company compiles healthcare data from multiple sources, with coverage across hundreds of therapeutic areas, thousands of clinical trials and publications, millions of medically relevant free text and billions of data points specific to patient demographics.

It delivers real-time insights, including predictions and suggestions to support commercial engagement, identify medical unmet needs and assist market access teams with regulatory submissions.

The Deloitte Fast 50 list was led by London-based mobile gaming company Tripledot Studios, which offers unique takes on classic games such as Solitaire and Sudoku, and has achieved 69,387 per cent growth over four years – taking it to a £1.4bn valuation.
