PEM recruits record 19 trainees to its student training programme

PEM, Cambridge’s largest independent firm of accountants, tax and business advisers, has recruited a record number of 19 trainees to its student training programme, taking the total number of employees at the firm to 240.

The new intake includes a mix of A-level students and graduates who will sit within audit and tax teams at the firm’s central Cambridge office.

The 19 students will spend the next three years training and studying to qualify as professional accountants (AAT and ACA) and specialist tax advisers (ATT).

Toni Munro, head of HR at PEM, says: “I am delighted to welcome this year’s student group to our growing team. PEM, which is based on Station Road, has 20 partners and over 240 staff members with specialists in, among other things, charities, technology, property, agriculture, professional firms and healthcare.
