It’sa good time for Plextek, the Great Chesterford-based engineering and design consultancy, which has launched a new defence business unit for government and military organisations – and has developed an IoT-based system to prevent manhole explosions.

The new defence unit, Plextek DTS (Defence Technology Solutions), will “help government agencies, defence suppliers and military stakeholders find new exploitation paths to support UK forces”.

For more than 30 years the team of consultants, engineers and project managers has turned clients’ business opportunities into commercial success, designing, manufacturing and supplying leading-edge products for industries including industries including defence and security, medical and healthcare, and wireless communications.
