In post-pandemic times, the value of dedicated healthcare has never been more important. As part of the UK’s largest healthcare charity, Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital is driven by its mission to help build a healthier nation by providing faster access to medical experts, specialist services and outstanding patient care.
We talk to Sophie Cunningham, sales and services manager at the ‘outstanding’ hospital, as rated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), about the easy way to self-pay for your family’s medical and healthcare needs.
Accessing treatment at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital is easier than you may think – it can be done in four simple steps:
Step 1: Talk to your GP
You may have already spoken with your GP about treatment options, and if you wish to progress with private healthcare now is the time to discuss a referral with your GP to one of our specialist consultants. Of course, you can contact us directly, however, a GP referral is always best practice, particularly if you require a scan.
Step 2: Choose your consultant
Profiles of our expert consultants can be easily viewed online at nuffieldhealth.com/hospitals/cambridge to help you find the right consultant for your treatment. Alternatively, you can speak to one of our friendly enquiry handlers who will be happy to talk you through the pathway of receiving treatment at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital and answer your questions.
Step 3: Book a consultation
We recognise how important it is to ensure that you have quick and easy access to the right medical treatment, so we will work to arrange a consultation in a timeframe that suits you.
A number of our consultants have the option of booking online, which you can find on their Nuffield Health website profile. Alternatively, simply call us at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital and we will guide you through the next steps and arrange an appointment for you.
At your consultation your consultant will assess you, discuss options and create a treatment plan if needed. Your consultant may suggest you have some initial tests and investigations to help with the diagnosis and treatment plan.
Step 4: Schedule your treatment
Following your consultation, if you require treatment we will offer you an all-inclusive procedure price. For peace of mind, this covers all of your treatment costs, including aftercare, so that you don’t have to worry about unexpected bills. It is part of ‘The Nuffield Health Promise’ - our unique offering to patients who are paying for themselves. It’s our pledge to our patients, where we ensure that you receive a clear and transparent price for your treatment – with no hidden surprises - and the very best in clinical care.
If you find an alternative private hospital in your local area offering a better price for the same procedure, sold with the same service conditions, we’ll lower our price to equal it (terms and conditions apply).
When you've agreed your treatment plan, the all-inclusive procedure price and are ready to proceed, we'll arrange a convenient date for you to come in for your procedure.
Payment can be made in advance and if you want to spread the cost of treatment, finance options are available, such as interest free finance.
