The Cambridge Building Society opens new-look Great Shelford store
The Cambridge Building Society opened the doors to its new Great Shelford store on Monday (July 1).
It has undergone an upgrade in keeping with the mutual’s new-look stores in St Ives and St Andrew’s Street.
The design improves the customer experience, with open plan counters and closed-off areas for private conversations.
Chief operating officer Andy Lucas said: “We recognise the value the local community in Great Shelford place on our presence there, so this made it a natural decision for it to be the next investment in our ongoing programme.
“We understand the huge steps banks and building societies are taking to invest in digital advancements in the way they do business, and we’re doing this, but we’re also proud to be continuously investing in ways our customers can talk to our team face to face, for support with advice, guidance and security.”
Customer service manager Matthew Attridge added: “The improvements made to the Great Shelford branch have centred on ensuring we can service our customers in the best way, making it a bright and friendly destination they really want to visit. I’m looking forward to seeing the new store in action and seeing the real benefit our new updated layout can make to our customers.
“The team are really looking forward to seeing existing and new members of The Cambridge in store to help them with their saving and mortgage needs.”
